DR LINDA TRUONG

BMED, MD, FRACGP, DCH

Dr Linda Truong obtained her medical degree from the University of New South Wales in 2013. She went on to complete her internship and residency at St George and Sutherland Hospitals in Sydney before moving to the Hunter region to complete her specialty training as a GP. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018. She has also completed a Diploma of Child Health, the National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health for Doctors, and mental health training with the Black Dog Mental Health Institute. 

 
Linda has been practising as a GP in the Lower Hunter Region for the last 8 years. She has moved back to the Upper North Shore with her husband and children and is looking forward to providing high quality patient-centred care to the St Ives community. She is committed to developing long-term relationships with her patients.

Her special interests are:

  • General medicine and chronic health conditions

  • Preventive medicine

  • Women’s health, including Menopause, Family Planning, Cervical Screening Tests, Implanon Insertion and Removal, IUD Removal

  • Sexual health 

  • Child health

  • Travel medicine
